ABOUT ME
I am Prahlad, a percussionist with a Bachelor's degree in
Western classical music and a Diploma in Sound Engineering and Music Production.
With 15 years of dedicated practice, I specialize in the Tabla while also demonstrating proficiency in an array of percussion instruments such as Drums, Cajon, Dholak, Congos, Bongos, Darbuka, Kanjira, and Djembe.
My career encompasses over 100 live performances across India as a freelance artist. Notably, I had the privilege of performing in the presence of Dr. Kiran Bedi, the former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, on behalf of the Song and Drama Division, Government of India. I've also had the unique opportunity to showcase my Tabla skills in extraordinary settings, such as performing alongside 400 veenais at the iconic Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple and at Swami Thyagaraja's birthplace.
Additionally, I have ventured into music production for the past 5+ years, releasing 14 independent singles & 1 album (with 5 songs) that are accessible on all major audio platforms.
